If you're looking for marine life , the Great Barrier Reef is wonderful . More than 1 , 500 different species of fish live there . You should pack whistles , lights and mirrors to make you noticeable if you're pulled far away from your boat . And , of course , never dive alone : always dive with a buddy . For example , there are about 15 species of poisonous sea snakes , so be really careful . The most dangerous animal is definitely the Blue Ringed Octopus .
