Important concept : It is advisable and important to do some focus and review work with students reviewing the difference between / b / and / d / . Some ideas and tricks : When the / b / is on the line, it has a “belly” in front . When / b / and / d / are lined up together they form a bed for someone to lie down on . To explain : bd has a “headboard” and “footboard, db does not . Make a thumb’s - up with both hands . The left hand is a / b / and the right hand is a / d / . Learn : The Letter Song Play the song for students . ● Encourage students to sing along . ● Have students “write” the letters in the air with their fingers along with Buddy . ● Optional : Play the song again . ●
