305 My Way, Teacher's Guide Some ideas : Yellow Y’s : Have students use all different materials and supplies to ● create yellow Y’s . Yum - Yum Y’s : Have students glue pictures of “yummy foods” on the ● letters . Yarn Throw : Bring a roll of yarn to class . Have students stand in a circle . Call out a letter . 3 and throw the yarn to a student, but hold on to the end of the yarn in your hand . The student catches the yarn and says a word that begins with the sound you called . Then the student calls a letter and throws the yarn to another student, holding on to the tip of the yarn as well . This creates a web of yarn .
