The Classroom Project : Preparing a Print Newspaper Working in pairs , you will prepare your own print newspaper . The parts of the newspaper may either be typed or handwritten . Q Planning the newspaper Choose a logotype that reflects the newspaper ' s specific focus . Decide on sections : a front page , news sections , a section for feature articles ( Views , Features or Opinion ) and a section for movie reviews ( Entertainment ) . The front page : divide the page into specific areas for the logotype , four front page articles ( headlines and lead paragraphs or full stories ) and pictures . Leave a page for each section of the newspaper and leave space for the four articles that continue from the front page to other pages . Decide on topics for the four front page news articles . You and your partner will each be responsible for two articles , written as part of the first section task . Q Suggestions for updating the newspaper ? After the first section task : Correct and improve the two full stories you and your partner wrote . Continue and complete the two articles that had only lead paragraphs . The four full stories may begin on the front page and go on to other pages of the newspaper . Refer the reader to the correct page number of the newspaper . Leave space for photographs on the front page . After the second section task : Correct or improve the two feature articles you and your partner wrote and place them in a suitable section of your newspaper . After the third section task : • Correct and improve the two movie reviews and place them in the Entertainment section . • Write more reviews . These may be about movies , music , art or books . Add photograp hs and captions 10 specific articles . After the fourth section task : Add the crossword puzzle from page 37 to the Entertainment section . • If you have a Letters to the Editor section , adapt the forum message from page 25 and turn it into a letter to the editor . Add classified ads in any empty spaces on the back pages . Add the poll about "Emotions behind the Lens" in a suitable part of the paper . O Final editing and presentation With your partner , make final editing changes and submit the newspaper to your teacher for feedback . When your teacher informs you that you may officially " publish" your newspaper , make it available to other students in the class , together with your "Meet the Editor " interview from the fourth section task .
