Read the story The Lonely Garden A Giant * lives alone in a big house with a beautiful garden . The flowers and trees are close together . Children often play there after school . One day, the Giant wants some quiet . He builds a high wall . After that, the garden is empty . The Giant sits on a seat in the garden and reads pages from his favorite book . Now the birds aren't in the garden . The flowers aren't colorful . The garden is cold and sad . The Giant is sad . He does not understand . Where are the beautiful flowers and birds ? He thinks . One day, there are children near the garden . He asks, “Do you want to play in my garden ? ” The children run inside . They play under the trees and laugh . Flowers grow, and the birds return . The Giant laughs . “Come back tomorrow with your friends,” he says .
