3 My Way Boost - Unseens | Unit 3, Part 168 Tommy : Hello, Ernó ! ! Im so excited to talk to you . I love playing with the Rubik's Cube . Where did you get the idea for it ? Ernó Rubik : It was in the year 1974 . I was a teacher in Hungary . I wanted to make something simple that can help my students understand shapes * and space . But then this "thing" turned into a popular * game . The truth is that it took me six years to make and complete the cube . It wasn't easy . Tommy : Was it easy or hard to use the cube ? Ernó Rubik : When I mixed * it the first time, it took me more than a month to find the answer . I thought * it was broken ! Tommy : That’s funny ! Today, people across the world play with the cube, kids and adults . Why do you think so many people love it ? Ernó Rubik : Because it’s fun for everyone and it makes people think . I believe it makes your mind * strong . Tommy : Many kids want to make games . Do you have tips for them ? Ernó Rubik : If something doesn’t work the first time, take a few minutes to think about why . Share your ideas with friends . They can give you good ideas too .
