Compare and Connect – Invite students to compare Alberta’s weather to their own ● environment . Use guiding questions : “Is it cold in Israel in the winter ? ” “Do you wear a coat ? ” This builds cross - cultural understanding while reinforcing vocabulary . Objectives : Students will describe the weather using vocabulary like "snowy," "cloudy," "sunny,"  and expressions like "How’s the weather today ? " Students will identify and name clothing items such as "boots," "pants," and  "sweatshirt," and describe what they or others are wearing . Students will discuss seasonal activities, using vocabulary like "spring," "summer,"  "plant," and "climb" in structured sentences . Students will respond to questions about weather and clothing preferences, using  phrases like "I am wearing "__ and "It is __ today . " Students will match vocabulary like "moose," "eagle," and "maple leaf" with  corresponding pictures in comprehension tasks . Students will write short paragraphs about their favorite season, using words like  "build," "meet," and "enjoy .
