Each text has comprehension exercises and other activities associated with it . There are games, thinking exercises, learning activities, and extension activities to engage students and arouse their curiosity . The reader is written in a way that fosters student independence by offering fully decodable texts and providing translation for words student do not yet know . All exercises and activities are for individuals, pairs, or groups without the need for teacher guidance . Additionally, there are review games and choice board style activities at the end of every country to bring a richer, deeper learning experience to the students . See the Reader Appendix for a more detailed overview and answer key . Review At the end of each country ( after Part 3 and after Part 6 ) , there a re Review section s that allow for students to practice their learning . This is a cumulative review from all three parts . Individual Digital Platform The individual digital practice makes use of cutting - edge technology, AI assisted tools, and engaging materials to help students further solidify their learning . As students finish learning in class, the teacher can open the individual practice activities for students to complete . The platform offers teacher tracking of student progress, as well as assessment data for the teacher to understand how each student is p erforming and where there may be the need for reteaching, enrichment, or additional support .
