Pre - reading activity Fly Like a Bird Ever y fall, Roger visits the Hot Air Balloon Festival * with his family . There are many colorful balloons to ride . Roger picks a cowboy balloon, and up he goes ! He waves * to his mom and dad below—they look so small ! The air feels cool on his face . He spreads * his arms like wings . Then, a strong wind blows ! Roger shouts, "I'm flying like a bird ! Whoohooo ! ! " Suddenly, he sees a huge moose balloon ! "A flying moose ! " Roger giggles . Soon, his balloon lands * on the soft grass near a cowgirl ballon . He runs to hug his parents * . "Did you see the moose ? Can I ride it next ? " he asks . His parents smile and say, "Yes, you can ! " Roger jumps with joy . "Yay ! The flying moose is next !
