Whole - Class Instruction : Digital Preview : Digital Flashcards Present the new vocabulary using digital flashcards . ● Have students repeat the words chorally after each word . ● Point to the picture and ask, “What is it ? ” ● Call on individual students to answer . ○ Repeat the flashcards two or three times . ● For more information on using the digital flashcards, see TG, Digital Flashcards, page 20 . Learn : Dialogue with Characters Play the audio for students the first time . ● Have the students repeat chorally when Buddy says, “Kids, now you . ” ● Note : The ball and bars at the bottom of the screen each represent one word . ○ Optional lesson extension : Play the audio a second time . ● Stop the audio after you hear an animal sound and ask, “What is it ? ” ● Have students answer . ● Ask students to use the adjective and the animal’s name if they remember . ○ For more information on using the Dialogue with Characters, see TG, Dialogue with Characters, page 21 .
